Class Evaluadtion

Some things I like about this class is the teacher. He is never mad and always telling us to choose the right, which is the best advice i've received  the whole year. Another thing I like about the class is the homework. It is simple and helps me keep track of my goals.

Somethings that I do not like about the class is that some people in here can be rude. Something else i don’t like about the class is that everyday we learn a new quote. I think one a week would be good enough.

Some recommendations I have to improve the class are to have more CTR card checks to make sure everyone has one, and also to review what the card says as a class once in awhile.

A highlight for me in this class is that I really like typing so I like this class because of that. Another highlight I have is that I learned to be a better and faster typer.

I tried to do my best in this class. Sometimes I would not do my Life Planning Journal because i’d forget about it. Other than that I believe I tried my best in this class. I always do my work and I don’t talk when the teachers talking. I also always pay attention when the teacher is speaking.

I am reading my Life Planning Journal almost everyday 5 minutes a day. Sometimes I don’t because I forget to. But, I usually do.

I am committed to be a CTR person. I’m committed because in this class I have learned that if you are a CTR person, you will be successful in life.

One Lie

“When you tell one lie, it leads to another”
-Paul Hatch

This a song song by Paul Hatch and he says that when you tell one lie, you’ll keep telling more and more. He says that when you tell so many lies you will eventually start to slip up because you can’t keep track of all the lies you have told. An example of this could easily be if your  parents ask you if you've done your homework any you say you have when you actually haven’t. If they ask what it was about you’ll start making up stories and you will create a spiderweb of lies you can't keep track of. Another example of this could be if you are being questioned by police men. If you lie to them about a crime you committed they will investigate on it and you will keep on worrying if they will find out.

The Sting of a Scorpion

When Patrick Kearon was a boy he went camping with his family. They told him that he always needed to wear shoes. One day Patrick decided to go for a little walk. But, he didn't want to put shoes on so he put flip flops instead. While he was walking along the desert he felt a stinging sensation on his foot. He thought that perhaps he has stepped on a thorn. When he looked down, he noticed that he had been stung by a scorpion. He could feel the pain going up his leg. He held his leg hoping to stop the flow of the poison and he screamed for help. His parents took him to the hospital and on the way there he thought that he was going to die. When he arrived to the hospital they told him, that specific scorpion's poison can only kill infants. From that day on Patrick learned that he should always take his parents advice.

Right

“Always do right.”
-Mark Twain

This quote said by none other than Mark Twain himself says to always do the right 100% of the time. An example of this could be to open the door for people, say please and thank you, and you could also say good morning and good afternoon to everyone you encounter throughout the day.Doing the right thing is always better than doing the wrong thing. Lots of people do the right thing most of the time when it should be done ALL the time.

World War II

World War II was the biggest was that the US fought in. It lasted from September 1st, 1939 thru September 2nd, 1945. Many countries fought in this war. It was a war that included Germany, Italy, and Japan against, Britain, France, Australia, Canada, China, and the United States of America. This ignoramus was took place in Europe, Africa, and the Pacific Ocean.
During the war, Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Germans, had 6-11 million Jews killed in concentration camps. This was the Holocaust. Another horrific event that happened during World War II was Pearl Harbor. In December 7th, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. The Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 American naval vessels, including 8 enormous battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded.
The reason Japan surrendered to the US during World War II was because the US dropped an atomic bomb on them. In August 1945, the US Air Force dropped 2 atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They caused hundred of thousands of civilian casualties and were shortly followed by the surrender of Japan and the end of WWII. It was the first and only time that atomic bombs have been used in a war.

The 3 Questions

1. Can people trust me to do whats right?
2. Am I committed to doing my very best?
3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
“If the answer to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”

-Lou Holtz
I believe that Lou Holtz is right. If you stick these 3 questions to your life, you will never do wrong. These are questions only CTR people think about. An example of this could be when someone is in school. They want to be trusted, they want to do their very best, and they want to be treated as they treat others.

Challenges Teens Face Today

There are many issues teens face today. These challenges are different than the ones your parents faced. Nowadays, bullying is a 24/7 thing due to the internet. Anyone in the entire world could be bullying you. Another issue teens face is sex. Sex is occurring more and more often. Kids are having sex at a younger and younger age. Drugs and alcohol is another challenge teens must face. From drugs and alcohol being from everywhere from movies to music. Grades are also a very strong issue. It is almost necessary to have a college degree now to land a desirable career. This of course puts lots of pressure and stress on teens.

One of the challenges that i am dealing with are my grades. Something that i am doing to improve on them is doing extra credit work.

Being a CTR person helps you deal with all sorts of challenges because when you only think about choosing the right nothing goes wrong.

You can help other teens overcome these challenges by just being their friends. You could give them help full advice or just be there for them and guide them the right path.
