Choosing a good name

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.”
Proverbs 22:1

What this quote is saying is that it is better to have people see you as a good person other than to be rich. An example of this could be when you are in school. If you choose to have a good name everyone will admire you and want to be your friend and respect you. But, if you choose riches over a good name no one will want to be around you because they know you are not a good person. If you don’t have a good name you don’t deserve the riches. Another example can be when you're applying to college. If they see that you don’t have a good name then they most likely won't want you in their school because of your bad name ad reputation. When you have a good name you will eventually get riches, but you will still need to have a good name or else you may lose it all.
